There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when design meets nostalgia—when the past feels familiar, yet freshly reimagined. That was the inspiration behind The Housewarming Club, an immersive celebration marking the grand opening of Tablescapes Event Rentals’ new Milwaukee showroom.

A New Chapter in the Midwest

For nearly four decades, Tablescapes has set the standard for event rentals across the Midwest—trusted for design-forward collections, dependable service, and an unwavering commitment to hospitality. Now, with a second showroom in Milwaukee, the brand continues its mission to bring exceptional design and seamless service to celebrations of all kinds.

The new space invites planners, designers, and hosts to explore Tablescapes’ full inventory—from the Midwest’s largest dinnerware collection to exclusive Chameleon Chairs and an ever-evolving selection of on-trend furniture, linens, and décor.

The Housewarming Club: Vintage Charm, Modern Style

The evening’s theme—The Housewarming Club—was more than a name. It was an experience. Inspired by vintage house parties from the 1960s through the 1990s, the concept blended retro glamour with modern design.

Guests were invited to “dress like they were attending a party in 1965—but styled by a 2025 Vogue editor.” Inside the showroom, each vignette represented a different “room” of the home: a candlelit dining table dressed in velvet navy and amber tones, a cozy lounge layered with crystal glassware and lacquered accents, and a playful backyard-inspired setup filled with greenery and warm light.

From the curated textures—velvet, lacquer, crystal, and tinted glass—to experiential details like a vintage bar cart, rotary phones, and vinyl records spinning Motown remixes, the evening felt like stepping into a memory—one made modern.

Design, Taste, and Togetherness

In true Tablescapes fashion, the event was a showcase of collaboration. Signature bites by Zilli Hospitality Group paired effortlessly with craft cocktails and local brews from Broken Bat Brew, setting a tone that was both stylish and unpretentious.

Flowers for Dreams created arrangements that played with color and texture, echoing the event’s palette of dusty rose, retro green, and champagne hues. Laine Too added polish through elevated beauty styling, while Events by Design ensured the evening flowed seamlessly—every detail, from the guest experience to the lighting, perfectly in tune.

And throughout it all, Emerie Leigh Photography captured the energy, warmth, and elegance that defined the night—moments of laughter, connection, and pure creative joy.

As music played and guests gathered around the “Fridge Notes” wall to leave messages of welcome, one theme resonated throughout the evening: this was more than an opening—it was an invitation.
