Guest Designer Table

Citygirl Events
When Kerrie Gallagher from Citygirl Events started to plan this month's vignette, she began with the idea that events are no longer just about the food or d├ęcor, but rather about the entire experience-from sights and sounds, to the textural feel.  Every detail is equally important.  Sharokina Pazand, owner of Citygirl, started  with this experiential philosophy in mind when she founded her company seven years ago.
This Art Nouveau tableau conjures up an image of two couples visiting a midnight dessert parlour after the theatre, curling up in our Classic Upholstered Smoking Chairs, pulling up the reserved low coffee table and intimately talking the night away.
Art Nouveau is normally characterized by intricate linear designs and flowing curves based on natural forms. The vase was a perfect centerpiece,
but our Antique White Pedestal Bowl won out as the centerpiece because the champagne focus made the night more festive.
No detail was missed, from our Bronze Iridescent Runner complete with gold tassels on each end of the table,
to the wonderful antique costume jewelry accents as napkin rings and menu pins to complement our Gold King Arthur Flatware.  Everything says class and suggests the sophistication of days gone by including the stationary accents by Too Chic & Little Shab Design Studio.

Kenny Woodman from Entertaining Company provided the enticing Panna Cotta dessert and gorgeous cookies.

Layered plates under the desserts made the late night evening's dessert look even more luxurious.  Since our Sevres china has a matching B&B plate, it is easy to use the small plates for a tiered presentation.  This design may be easily transferred to an intimate dinner for two: one of Citygirl's other specialty services.  The company is one of the first in the city to offer marriage proposal planning.  Sometimes they are hired a year ahead for popping the big question and sometimes just the day before.

Shar and Kerrie both believe that color is important this year as they demonstrate in this tableau with our Tulip stemware and Emerald Jewel Tone Tumbler. The mix and match in stemware and dinnerware gives a homier feel and both said they always strive to have their parties feel "like they are in the host's home".

Thanks to Jason Kaczovowski Photography for the outstanding photos.  Over lunch, we  found out Jason started his career with Disney, one of the pioneers in experiential events. What a perfect match with Citygirl to capture the experience of their events.
