November Guest Designer Table

Wrap It Up

We got to see the whole Bliss team in action when Renny Pederson, Owner & Creative Director, and her crew came to brainstorm in our showroom. They came in only with the idea of using the theme of Friendsgiving and their energy and creativity was really flowing.

First came the "I am Grateful For" note cards they placed atop our Wine Barrel for all of them, our Tablescapes employees and showroom guests to write upon.

Then they took the Friendsgiving idea to a whole new level when they decided to hang the note cards on our Aged Farm Light Bridge interspersed among the hanging Ribbed Glass Votive Holders and surrounded by wonderfully aromatic garland.  They explained how they love to design many of their events with up to a third of the tables in the room having "above table" hanging décor.

They kept building the Friendsgiving theme until they decided to entitle it "More! More! And More!--More Friends! More Turkey! More Wine!!" Boy, did they go through a lot of our minis to find the perfect look for their custom-designed placemats.  Liz Dixon of EJD Designs was the artist who drew them. When Renny saw the actual placemat they had designed, even she said it was  "over the top, darling"!

They even extended their bountiful table to our Gold Distressed Cocktail Table set for the first round of drinks.

Bliss creates the whole design of the party including the food. Since Renny has a culinary background we shouldn't have been surprised to see the food planned for the event as well. But who would have thought there could be a new take on Thanksgiving? This Bliss Friendsgiving was all about Thanksgiving Tapas and Cocktail pairings.

At Thanksgiving, there is always way too much food and here, tapas style, could there ever be too many Tablescapes plates?  They selected harvest colored Topaz Jewel Tone Glass and Italian Square Glass with Gold Edge B&B plates.

We learned, over the luncheon discussion on creativity, with everyone from Bliss that they cover every aspect of the special event industry by each person having such a different background.  For this table, they even handled their own floral with Jesse Deckard who started in floral design but expanded into complete event décor and has planned unforgettable events around the country.

The cocktails they created for this special dinner also represents the variety of backgrounds so well represented at Bliss.  The "Party Starter" is  for Renny who started the company over 15 years ago. With her driving passion, it now is a nationally known company.

"Bliss Belle French '75" represents the "Belles" of the company.  Lauren Carter with her initial background in interior design before entering the special events field,  Katie Kozlowski who started out in large event and music productions and  Grace Clayton with her personal and organizational skills as a personal assistant for a globe trotting family.

The Red Wine "Beau deaux" is for Jesse who definitely holds his own in creativity against the bevy of female co-workers.

And last, but not least is the "Wrap It Up" Harvest Mule that represents the company's new sister division and additional diverse backgrounds of  employees,  Andie Cuttiford with her incredible organizational skills paired with a culinary background and Emma Pieper with her political, fund raising and even White House experience.  Under the Bliss umbrella, they are now able to offer two brands--the planning services for elaborate one of a kind events as well as partial and a la carte services for other events.

From all at Bliss, Wrap it Up and Tablescapes, warmest of wishes for this Friendsgiving.  May you spend it with your bestest of friends.
Special thanks to our photographer, Dennis Lee, who is so dedicated to design he didn't put his watermark on these pictures because he thought it would distract from the great content of the photos.
